Sharing Your Agents
Sharing an agent is like handing your team a key to a workspace you still own: everyone can walk in, use what's inside, and even rearrange the furniture — but only you can lock the door or give the room away. With one switch you can take an agent that only you can see and make it available to your entire organization.
Before you start
- An agent you created (you can only share agents you own).
- An organization with at least one other member — sharing makes an agent available to your teammates, so there needs to be a team to share with.
What sharing does
Every agent has one of two visibility settings:
| Visibility | Who can see it | Plain meaning |
|---|---|---|
| Private | Only you | The default. Nobody else in your organization can find or use the agent. |
| Shared with team | Everyone in your organization | Any member can open the agent, chat with it, edit its setup, and connect it to their own channels. |
When you switch an agent to Shared with team, your teammates can do almost everything you can — with two important exceptions that stay yours alone:
| Action | You (owner) | Your teammates |
|---|---|---|
| View and chat with the agent | ✅ | ✅ |
| Edit its setup (instructions, tools, knowledge, databases, skills) | ✅ | ✅ |
| Connect it to channels | ✅ | ✅ |
| Delete the agent | ✅ | ❌ |
| Turn sharing on or off | ✅ | ❌ |
Sharing an agent brings its whole setup with it — instructions, tools, knowledge base, connected databases, and skills. Your teammates see the same agent you built, not a copy.
How to share an agent
- Open the Agent Control Panel and find an agent you own.
- Open its Share option from the agent's Quick Actions.

- Turn on the Organization Access switch. The status changes from Private to Shared with team, and a short summary explains what your team can now do.
- Click Done. That's it — the change takes effect immediately.

To stop sharing, open the same dialog and turn Organization Access back off. The agent becomes Private again and disappears from your teammates' panels.
Only the owner sees the Organization Access switch. When a teammate opens the Share dialog on a shared agent, they see a View-only access note instead — a reminder that only you can change the sharing setting.
What your team sees
Once an agent is shared, it shows up in every member's Agent Control Panel alongside their own agents. To make ownership clear, a small badge appears next to the agent's name:
- On your side, the agent shows a Shared with Org badge so you can tell at a glance which of your agents are shared.
- On your teammates' side, the agent shows your name (for example, Shared by Benja) — so everyone knows who owns and maintains it. They see the full setup and all connected channels, but the Share action is greyed out, because only you can change sharing.

Conversations in a shared agent
A shared agent can be talked to in a few different ways, and not all of those conversations are shared the same way. The rule is built around privacy:
| Where the conversation happens | Who can see it | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Personal chat — you chatting with the agent in the app | Only the person who had it | Your own chats are yours. A teammate's in-app chats stay private to them, and yours stay private to you. |
| Developer mode — testing and tuning the agent | Everyone with access | Testing is teamwork. Anyone maintaining the agent should see how it was tested. |
| Channels — WhatsApp, Instagram, Messenger, Telegram, Slack, Discord, Teams, your website, and the API | Everyone with access | These are real customer conversations the whole team supports, so everyone who manages the agent can review them. |
In short: your private in-app chats stay private, but test chats and real customer conversations on channels are shared with everyone who can access the agent.
Channels and sign-in details
Your teammates can connect the shared agent to their own channels — their own WhatsApp number, their own Instagram account, and so on. When they do, each person connects using their own sign-in details, not yours. Sharing the agent does not share your channel connections or passwords.
This means one shared agent can answer on many different channels across your team, with each member responsible for the channels they connect.
Troubleshooting
| Problem | Fix |
|---|---|
| A teammate can't see the agent I shared | Confirm the switch is on Shared with team (not Private), and that they are a member of the same organization. |
| I don't see the Organization Access switch | You can only change sharing on agents you own. If you opened someone else's shared agent, you'll see a View-only note instead. |
| A teammate can't delete or unshare the agent | That's expected — only the owner can delete an agent or turn sharing off. |
| I shared the agent but my private chats showed up for the team | They shouldn't — personal in-app chats stay private to whoever had them. Only developer-mode and channel conversations are shared. |
| My teammate's channel isn't using my credentials | That's expected — each member connects channels with their own sign-in details. |
What's next
- Organization — invite teammates and manage who's on your team.
- Sharing automations — let shared automations call on any member's agents.
- Managing Your Agents — edit, monitor, and organize the agents you own and the ones shared with you.
