Connect your Mistral AI account to Nirvai to access powerful European AI models for chat completions, embeddings, and code generation. Mistral offers high-performance models known for their efficiency.

Prerequisites

  • A Mistral La Plateforme account
  • Payment information added to enable API access

Setup Instructions

Step 1: Create a Mistral Account

  1. Go to Mistral Console
  2. Sign up for an account

Step 2: Enable API Access

  1. Navigate to Workspace > Billing
  2. Add your payment information
  3. Activate payments to enable API keys

Important: Mistral requires payment information to be added before you can generate API keys.

Step 3: Generate an API Key

  1. Sign in to your Mistral Console
  2. Go to the API Keys page
  3. Click Create new key
  4. Copy the API key immediately

Step 4: Add to Nirvai

  1. In Nirvai, go to create a new Mistral credential
  2. Paste your API key in the API Key field
  3. Save the credential

Available Models

Mistral offers various models:

  • Mistral Large - Most capable model
  • Mistral Medium - Balanced performance
  • Mistral Small - Fast and efficient
  • Mistral Embed - For embeddings

Troubleshooting

Cannot Create API Key

  • Ensure you've added payment information in Billing
  • Verify your account is in good standing

API Key Not Working

  • Check if the key was copied correctly
  • Verify your billing is active
  • Ensure you have API credits available

Rate Limit Errors

  • Review your current usage
  • Consider upgrading your plan
