Messenger (Facebook Page)
Instead of following these steps manually, you can use the AI Credential Assistant — describe what you want to connect and the AI will walk you through the setup step by step, tailored to your account.
Overview
Connect your Facebook Page to Nirvai so agents can send and manage Facebook Messenger messages through native tools. You connect with "Log in with Facebook" and pick the Page — Nirvai wires up the rest.
A Page is your business's public profile on Facebook (the one people follow and message), not your personal account.
This page sets up the credential that native Messenger tools use. If you want your agent to automatically answer people who message your Page, connect it as a channel from the Agent Control Panel.
What you can do
- Send Facebook Messenger messages from your Page
- Read your Page details
Before you start
- A Facebook Page for your business — the one you want people to message
- Admin access to that Page
If your Page is still in draft or unpublished, publish it first — Messenger only works on a live Page.
Connect it
Messenger connects through "Log in with Facebook" — the same secure sign-in you see on many websites. Nirvai never sees your password.
- In Nirvai, open Credentials → Create credential and pick Facebook Messenger.
- Give the credential a name and click Connect. A Facebook Login popup opens.
- Sign in with the Facebook account that manages your Page and approve the permissions.
- Select the Facebook Page you want to connect. The credential is connected and ready to use.
Next steps
Use the AI Tool Creator to turn this credential into agent-callable tools. Describe what your agent should be able to do and the AI investigates the API, configures the endpoints, and gives you a reviewable toolkit before saving anything.
