Step 1: Access Your BambooHR Account

  1. Log in to your BambooHR account
  2. You need admin access to generate API keys

Step 2: Generate an API Key

  1. Click on your profile icon in the upper right corner
  2. Go to API Keys
  3. Click Add New Key
  4. Enter a name for the key and click Generate Key
  5. Copy the API key (it will only be shown once)

Step 3: Find Your Subdomain

Your subdomain is the part between https:// and .bamboohr.com in your BambooHR URL. Example: If your URL is https://acme.bamboohr.com, your subdomain is acme.

Configuration Fields

  • Subdomain: Your company's BambooHR subdomain
  • API Key: The API key generated from your account
