Toggl

Prefer guided AI setup?

Instead of following these steps manually, you can use the AI Credential Assistant — describe what you want to connect and the AI will walk you through the setup step by step, tailored to your account.

Overview

Connect your Toggl Track account to Nirvai to automate time tracking, project management, and team productivity workflows.

Supported Authentication Methods

  • Basic Authentication (Email/Password)

Prerequisites

  • A Toggl Track account
  • Your account email and password

Setup Instructions

Basic Authentication

  1. In Nirvai, enter your Toggl credentials:
    • Email: Your Toggl account email
    • Password: Your Toggl account password

Alternative: API Token

Toggl also supports API token authentication where:

  • Username = Your API token
  • Password = "api_token" (literal string)

To find your API token:

  1. Log into Toggl Track
  2. Go to Profile Settings
  3. Scroll to API Token section
  4. Copy your token

Important Notes

  • Basic auth uses your regular account credentials
  • API tokens are recommended for production use (more secure)
  • Your credentials provide access to all workspaces you're a member of

Troubleshooting

Common Issues

  • Invalid credentials: Verify email and password are correct
  • Two-factor authentication: If enabled, you may need to use an API token instead
  • Account locked: Too many failed attempts may lock your account temporarily
