Plans & Limits

Your plan is like the size of your workspace — a bigger plan gives you more room to build. Each plan sets how much you can create: how many agents, tools, databases, automations, and so on. This is separate from credits, which are the fuel that powers those things once they're built.

When you reach a limit

Limits only apply when you create something new. Everything you've already built keeps working — nothing is deleted or paused for hitting a limit.

When you try to create one more than your plan allows (for example, an 11th agent on Builder), Nirvai stops the action and gives you two choices:

  • Delete something you no longer use to free up room, or
  • Upgrade to a plan with a higher limit.
tip

Running low on room in one category is a good signal it's time to upgrade. Credits are different — they're usage, not a create-limit — so see Credits if your agents stopped responding.

Changing your plan

You change your plan from the Billing tab — click Change Plan to see the options and switch.

Upgrading raises your limits right away, so you can immediately create more.

Downgrading works differently, because a smaller plan can't hold everything a larger one can. If your account has more than the new plan allows, Nirvai walks you through a short fit-to-plan step:

  1. You choose which agents, databases, credentials, and other items to keep — deleting down to the new plan's limits.
  2. The change is scheduled for the end of your current billing period, not applied instantly.
  3. Until that date, you keep your current plan and its credits — you don't lose anything you already paid for.
  4. Once scheduled, your creation limits drop to the new plan (so you can't add items you'd have to delete again), but existing content keeps running until the switch.
  5. You can cancel the scheduled downgrade any time before it takes effect.
tip

Because you keep your current plan until the period ends, the best time to confirm a downgrade is close to your renewal date — you get the full value of what you're already paying for.
